We all need to be aware why some products commercially produced and also some handmade soap being sold out there are harmful to our skin and our environment. I know there are so many of us who have had skin problems which have been either caused by or exacerbated by the use of commercial body products that are loaded the harmful chemicals.
I started having problems with my skin many years ago. I don't know if you have ever experience that horrible feeling like your skin is on fire. Well mine felt just like that. I took a break from nursing for 5 years and was so looking forward to having normal skin. Well that didn't really happen. My skin certainly improved but the problem was still there.
A few more years went by and I developed dermatitis on my hands, arms and feet. I remember nursing patients with terrible skin conditions and I prayed mine didn't get that bad. I clearly was allergic (I thought) to all soaps and hand washing products.
It got worst as I got older. Was getting sick of going to skin specialists and paying through the nose only to come out without any helpful solution. I was advised to stop using soap. Great!!! I am thinking... really? So what do I wash with?
And so Moolicious soaps were born. I carefully studied the ingredients and decided to give it a go. No burning!!!! Jumps up and down. I can't tell you how excited I was. It appears that I was not allergic to soap, but the harsh chemical ingredients in it were destroying my skin.
Moolicious Soaps made with high quality natural ingredients and colors.
The hard reality is that most commercial soaps are loaded with harmful and toxic chemical. This together with the fact that as we get older we retain less moisture and our skin is dryer than normal can cause mayhem to your life.
Commercial soaps are mass produced by multinational companies, made with the cheapest ingredients. They are factory produced creating large amounts of environmental waste. Soap is not meant to pollute our environment and even more importantly our skin by loading it with chemicals. Soap is meant to cleanse your skin, make you feel clean and smelling good.
We need to be aware why some products commercially produced and also some handmade soap being sold out there are harmful to our skin and our environment.
When you buy soap read the label on the back. If you can't pronounce the ingredients listed on the label chances are it's harmful to your skin.
I always check the labels. If you like tongue twisters check it out next time you are in the shops.
They either don't clearly label the soaps by generalizing the ingredients or you need a degree in English and chemistry to pronounce them. I will be doing a blog dedicated to the harmful additives used by commercial soap makers.
I am often asked what's the difference is between our handmade soap and commercial soap. Why is commercial soap so much cheaper? Commercial soap looks good... smells good... but is it good for you?
This is a guide focusing on our soap & commercial soap but you can use this to differentiate between a good quality handmade soap with commercial & some handmade soaps that are not always desirable depending on the ingredients used.

I will be publishing a more detailed article on harmful & toxic ingredients used in so many soaps. No wonder we are all getting skin problems.
Be kind to your skin.
Thanks for reading and I hope this will help you identify the difference between a skin friendly soap vs a harmful commercial version of soap.
Cheers
